Coop beats TVA in federal court

N&O: Court orders TVA cleanup

"I am pleased that the court ordered TVA to clean up the air pollution coming from its plants closest to North Carolina," Attorney General Roy Cooper said in an interview. "This will help our air, our health and our travel and tourism economy. All of our evidence showed that these four plants were doing the greatest damage to North Carolina."

Congrats to our AG on this environmental victory!

Hello,

Thanks or keeping us updated on Roy Cooper.

I volunteered this past election at Debbie Cook's office in her unsuccessful run for congress. Next election I want to work in a race where we have a good chance of turning a red seat blue, and since I grew up in Asheville, I think I will probably come back to NC to help out in 2010.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks,
Peter in Huntington Beach, CA
